Asset Manager Appoints Duo To Boston Office

Asset manager State Street Global Advisors has appointed two new members to its SPDR exchange traded funds business; both will be based in Boston.
Both in newly-created roles, Noel Archard will be the head of global SPDR product and Seth Morrison will be head of global SPDR marketing, the firm said in a recent statement.
Archard will be responsible for product strategy, innovation, and range and lifecycle management. He will report to Cyrus Taraporevala, head of the global institutional group and Rory Tobin, co-head of the global SPDR business. He joins from BlackRock, where he was country head in Canada.
Morrison will be responsible all marketing activities across the SPDR business in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific. He will report to Nick Good, co-head of the global SPDR business and Stephen Tisdalle, chief marketing officer. He joins from Vanguard, where he served as head of flagship business development group
“Both Noel and Seth have strong track records of developing ETF products consistent with client and regulatory requirements,” said Tobin. “We are delighted to welcome them both to the team, and we look forward to their leadership as we evolve and grow our Global SPDR ETF business.”
SSGA, which has around $558 billion in ETF assets under management, is looking to expand its exchange traded funds business and hopes to have continued success since it launched its first US-listed ETF more than two decades ago.
In April, Family Wealth Report said, the firm hired Heman Bhide to head up its US asset owner business, and Bruce Shain to serve as senior vice president and client service department manager.
